Dutch Design Week Eindhoven
From 19 to 27 October, we attended Dutch Design Week (DDW), the annual event centered on innovation and creativity.
This year, our program took place at Piet Hein Eek’s inspiring location. It turned out to be a week full of creative energy, meaningful encounters and a great atmosphere. Our participation in Dutch Design Week was not just an opportunity to present our collection; above all, we wanted to share our story and inspire visitors. Every poster in our collections is unique. This is because you, the creator, can enter personal data, resulting in a different, personal poster every time. This approach clearly caught on: there was a lot of interest in our designs and in the unique stories each work tells.
It was great to see how much interest there was in our collection. Visitors took time to admire the details of the posters and asked our designers about their inspiration and working methods. This led to fascinating conversations about the deeper meaning and creative processes behind the designs.
One of the highlights of the week was the visit of some designers working especially for us. Anna Katharina Jansen, Joëlle Wehkamp and Studio Kars + Boom came by to discuss their designs. We are grateful that they took the time to be there in Eindhoven and support us during these busy days. Their passion and craftsmanship – like that of all our designers – are at the heart of our collection, and we are proud to work with such talented people.
Launch of a new poster
Another highlight of the week, we launched Anna Katharina Jansen’s latest collection! She previously created a beautiful starry sky poster for us, and now she has created a new series of letter posters, all in her signature style. She explains: *”One of my memories from my nursery is a card with my name on it, against a black background and colorful letters. I hope our ABC posters can do the same for children in their beautiful rooms. ‘*
We chose to hold this launch precisely during Dutch Design Week, so that Anna Katharina Jansen herself could be present. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and visitors were attracted by the unique style and the story behind the design.
Looking back on a great week
The atmosphere at Dutch Design Week was inspiring. Creativity prevailed all around us, and the audience was diverse and genuinely interested. Many visitors told us how special they found our posters and appreciated the personal aspect of the concept. It is for encounters like this that we enjoy doing this work so much! We are already looking forward to future designs and cannot wait to show more of our collection.
