When you order a starry sky with us, a check is made in our system whether this data has already been entered before. The check is done based on the combination of place + date + time of birth. If this data has already been filled in before, you will get a so called ‘Oops’ notification. Did you get this notification? Contact us via hi@mrstarsky.com or via our chat, so that we can check whether the poster really has been ordered once.

MrStarsky has taken the scientific approach to show the sky as it was during a special occasion, rather than an astrological approach. We’re all familiar with the twelve most-known constellations out of the 88 called the zodiac signs. They represent our horoscopes. It is not guaranteed that your astrological sign was visible at birth, and will, in that case, be included on a poster (after all, everyone born from the 21^st till the 21^st has the same zodiac sign, but chances are slim that one has the same position of the stars as the next person).

The starry sky is continuously changing. Sometimes the sky consists of zodiac signs of which we, at MrStarsky, don’t have illustrations of (yet). This means that for those particular birthplaces (in the southern hemisphere during certain moments), it’s impossible to order a poster with an animal design. The tool that helps you create a poster will give the notification: ‘unfortunately a poster cannot be created yet for the location chosen’ – you may want to choose our designs without animal illustrations in this case!

Our designs with animal illustrations have something very special: next to the starry sky itself, the poster contains illustrations of the five star signs that stood central during that special moment. For example: if the constellation lynx was visible in the center of the sky, you’ll find an illustration of a lynx at the bottom of the poster! The illustration changes with the position of the stars! This makes your star map unique.

We may forget it sometimes, because we can’t see them, but the stars shine very brightly during the day as well. At MrStarsky, we chose to give the sky a lighter or darker color based on the time of day. The lighter ‘daylight’-color to visualize the sky during daytime and the darker ‘nightlight’-color to visualize the sky during nighttime. This applies to all of our designs, except for the Sella Molenaar-designs.
