Sophie Southmayd (@sophiesouthmayd) is a former Head of Styling at Ralph Lauren and currently the owner of digital Agency Sophie Southmayd Consulting – and a real interior and styling connoisseur too! Her feed has this flawless French vibe, mixed with a bit of Scandinavian coolness:

Coffee. One of the constant highlights of my day!
What are your favorite family activities?
Making and eating a beautiful meal together.
How do you remember and recall special moments? Is it a smell, a song, a visual
association?
Music definitely helps, and photos are so important too.
What distinguishes and characterizes your interior and sense of design?
French with a hint of scandinavian minimalism.
You are also professionally involved with styling and design, what do you do
exactly and how did you get there?
I used to be more involved with Fashion, now I work in digital marketing as the Owner of Social Southmayd. I started when I was 20 working in Beauty, then moved in Fashion at 23.
What does quality mean to you? How important is it to you and how is this visible
in your home and/or business?
Very important, but I don’t obsess about it. It’s all about balance I think.

Being self-employed, running a digital agency ánd a hugely popular account- how
do you organize your life?
I have a notebook that is my bible, if it doesn’t get written down on my to-do list, it won’t get done.
What do the stars mean to you?
Overwhelming beauty and thrill of the unknown.
Which MrStarsky designs did you choose and what special moment did you eternalize?
I chose the MrStarsky x AQUA GOLD for my wedding.
How would you suggest/advise styling a MrStarsky design within your interior?
As I’m redesigning my home, I haven’t found a place for it yet…
What are your dreams for the future?
To be happy with the people I love.
